INSIGHT

Construct has collaborated with jeweller Carolina Bucci for more than a decade, carefully stewarding the brand across identity, packaging, art direction and communications. As the brand matured, so too did the ambition: to create a space that celebrated not product alone, but the profound connection between people and the jewellery they collect. La Catena was the answer to that ambition, an annual publication conceived and shaped by Construct to reflect the generosity of spirit at the heart of the brand.

IDEA

Construct translated Carolina's flair for Italian sprezzatura into La Catena's design principles, working with the beauty and tactility of materiality, weight and size to convey both preciousness and the visual power of less is more. The result exists somewhere between magazine and book: intentionally weighty and considered, a moment of slowness in a world of speed and expendability. Each issue is curated through the lens of art and design, with longform articles that are thoughtful, cerebral and designed to be taken time over. The cover draws on the graphic codes of classic art publications, occupying the space between the free and the rigorous, the opulent and the pared-back.

IMPACT

Carolina Bucci was ahead of the curve in her embrace of print, at a time when few luxury brands had recognised the editorial opportunity. La Catena has since become a benchmark for what brand publishing can be: not a product showcase, but a full editorial effort that taps into culture, reflects a brand's ethos, and reaches discerning audiences outside of social media. It is a fitting expression of a brand built slowly, intentionally and with absolute authenticity, and of a partnership between client and agency that has endured and deepened across more than a decade.
